Vintage 1940s 1950s Divine Miss New York Petrol Blue Satin Dress 26 Waist Draped Bodice Flutter Sleeve Cocktail Evening Midi Dress
A beautiful original vintage satin dress by Divine Miss of New York, dating from approximately the late 1940s to early 1950s and finished in a wonderful petrol blue.
The dress has an incredibly elegant silhouette, with a softly draped wrap-effect bodice drawing into a beautifully defined 26" waist before falling into a sleek midi-length skirt.
The neckline is finished with decorative statement buttons, while the short layered flutter sleeves add softness and movement around the shoulders. The satin fabric has a subtle sheen that catches the light beautifully and gives the petrol blue colour wonderful depth.
Sophisticated without being overly formal, this is a fabulous piece of mid-century American occasion wear and a lovely surviving example from the Divine Miss New York label.
