A wonderful pair of vintage Start-rite leather lace-up shoes dating from the 1960s, complete with their original Start-rite Mainstream shoe box.

Made from brown leather with subtle tonal detailing, these have a classic lace-up Derby-style silhouette, rounded toe and practical low block heel. They're a lovely example of everyday 1960s footwear — beautifully made, practical and still extremely wearable today.

The shoes have subsequently been resoled with synthetic rubber soles, making them more practical for modern wear while retaining their original vintage uppers and character.
