Vintage 1930s Cream Embroidered Cloche Hat Hand Worked Geometric Folk Art Design
Description
A wonderfully unusual original 1930s cloche hat, made in cream fabric and richly decorated with colourful hand-worked embroidery.
The close-fitting crown and softly downturned stitched brim create the characteristic cloche silhouette of the period. Bold geometric motifs in orange, yellow, green and blue cover the crown, framed by looping green embroidered borders. The colourful design gives the hat a striking folk-art quality while retaining its unmistakably 1930s shape.
The hat appears to have been handmade or artisan-produced rather than commercially manufactured, with no maker’s label visible. A distinctive and highly decorative example of original 1930s millinery, ideal for a collector, period display or carefully considered wear.
