Vintage 1950s Dawnelle Green Cotton Gauntlet Gloves Size 6½ Made in USA
Description
A striking pair of original late 1950s Dawnelle evening gloves in a wonderfully vivid emerald or jewel green.
Made in the USA from double-woven cotton, these elegant gloves feature a dramatic extended gauntlet cuff, decorative hand-finished seams and a shaped appliqué detail across each palm. The sculptural cuffs create a particularly glamorous silhouette, perfect with a cocktail dress, evening coat or tailored vintage ensemble.
Dawnelle was an American glove maker particularly associated with beautifully made cotton dress gloves during the 1950s and 1960s. Examples of its late-1950s work are held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The Met
