A beautiful original 1970s children's prairie dress in deep blue with a tiny scattered floral print in red, yellow, green and white.

This wonderfully romantic little dress is a fantastic example of the prairie and folk-inspired children's fashions of the 1970s. It features a crisp white Peter Pan collar edged with delicate lace, long sleeves with lace-trimmed cuffs and a high gathered bodice falling into a wonderfully full skirt.

Across the chest is white decorative trim threaded with vivid red ribbon and finished with a long red bow. A deep gathered tier at the hem completes the classic prairie silhouette.

The combination of the tiny floral print, high neckline, lace, ribbon and long full skirt gives this a wonderful period look – almost a miniature version of the romantic prairie dresses that became so fashionable during the 1970s.
