An original vintage round collar storage box, designed for keeping detachable collars clean, pressed and protected. Finished in an attractive black faux crocodile embossed paper with the elegant "Collars" script to the lid, this is a wonderful survivor from the golden age of gentleman's outfitting.
Originally supplied by shirt makers or outfitters alongside detachable collars, these boxes were a staple of Edwardian and early to mid-century wardrobes. Today they make superb display pieces for collectors of vintage menswear, haberdashery, tailoring or shop ephemera, whilst still being perfectly usable for storing detachable collars, ties, sewing notions or other small treasures.

Condition
Good vintage condition with honest signs of age and use. The box remains structurally sound, with age-related rubbing and scuffing to the edges, some wear to the paper covering and light marks internally, all entirely consistent with its age. A charming original piece with plenty of character. some damage to lid
