A wonderfully characterful vintage floral brooch formed from three overlapping four-petalled flowers.
Each flower has heart-shaped petals surrounding a raised rounded centre. Traces of the original multicoloured enamel remain in shades of green, yellow, orange, pink, red, blue, cream and purple, creating a cheerful patchwork of faded colour.
The flowers are arranged in a substantial elongated spray, with the overlapping construction giving the brooch an appealing three-dimensional appearance. Its considerable enamel wear has created a beautifully timeworn, almost folk-art finish.
The reverse is fitted with a long traditional pin and simple open hook fastening. The construction and fastening suggest a mid-20th-century date, most likely around the 1940s–1950s.
An unusual piece for someone who appreciates genuinely worn vintage jewellery with visible history and character.

Fair vintage condition with extensive age-related enamel loss, chipping, fading and surface wear throughout.
