This is a very beautiful antique English Victorian Edwardian heirloom Christening gown which dates from about mid 1800s to 1900s in finest soft white cotton and beautiful white lace with exquisite embroidery panels to the front and embroidery frills there is a slight darkening on the uppermost top embroidery panel of the skirt and some lose threads to the bodice

A scooped neckline and capped lace frilled sleeves with lace edges and embroidery which was the fashion during the early part of the 19th century

She features row and rows of embroidery inserts, tiny hand embroidered panels to the bodice with leaf patters and details and hand made cut work frills - all very skilled work. She has beautiful Cutwork to the hem.

She fastens at the back with 2 fabric cotton tape ties.

She has carefully washed and steamed the dress so it is ready to wear or collect - pure white I literally cannot find fault in this gown save for a minor discolouration which I will continue to try to remove an absolute spectacle to behold with absolutely gorgeous details.

Exceptional condition with plenty of wear left or perfect to collect or display.

Each item is unique item and has its own history and personality and even though some show signs of being pre-loved, that is part of the charm!

Any faults are described as accurately as possible but please bear in mind antique and vintage textiles sometimes bear the traces of a previous life.

I ensure that every piece is thoroughly cleaned, pressed and carefully stored so it will always reach you in the best possible condition.
