Description
A genuine antique detachable wing collar in crisp white starched cotton, dating from the late Victorian to Edwardian period (circa 1900–1920). Featuring the classic standing wing shape, this collar would have been worn with a collarless shirt and secured with collar studs, making it an essential part of formal gentleman's dress.
The interior bears the retailer's stamp for Conway Williams, 48 Brook Street, W.1., together with the original owner's name R. F. Carter Jonas and the size marking 16½, adding wonderful provenance to this piece.
