This beautiful billowing cream silk beautiful antique English heirloom Silk Christening gown which dates from about 1850-1900 in finest Silk with exquisite silk embroidery detail can be worn with both billowing silk outermost or ribbed silk with beautiful collar detail matching silk cape this heirloom antique is in truly exceptional condition given her grand age with some minor stains that I will continue to treat gently and carefully not to damage the Silk and she has only a single loose seam.

A high neckline and cuffed puff sleeves which was the fashion during the early part of the 19th century and fastened with a Single hook and eye and a mother of Pearl button

tiny perfect hand embroidered silk thread panels and hand made cut work frills - all very skilled work

This Silk Christening gown has a matching cape and is truly adorable piece of British aristocracy history.

I have carefully washed and steamed the gown and cape so it is ready to wear or collect an absolute beauty, with gorgeous details a truly exceptional high quality items.
