A beautiful vintage full-length slip dating approximately to the 1950s/early 1960s, in a soft ivory cream with delicate floral lace detailing.
This is a particularly elegant example, with a V-shaped neckline framed by a wide panel of floral lace extending across the bust and around the upper back. The shaped bust is softly gathered beneath the cups, creating the wonderfully feminine silhouette associated with mid-century lingerie.
The body falls into a long fluid skirt, finished at the hem with a narrow band of matching floral lace. Fine adjustable shoulder straps complete the piece.
There is no surviving maker or composition label, but the fabric has the smooth, fluid handle and sheen typical of period lingerie fabrics.
