Description
A beautifully cut vintage ivory skirt dating from approximately the late 1960s to early 1970s.
This is one of those deceptively simple vintage pieces where the quality is all in the construction. Made in a substantial cream/ivory woven fabric, the skirt has a wonderfully clean, architectural silhouette with a fitted waistband and gently A-line shape.
Deep inverted kick pleats are worked into both the front and back of the skirt, allowing movement while maintaining its beautifully streamlined shape. The front is finished with neatly constructed hip pockets, subtly incorporated into the side panels.
The skirt fastens at the side with a concealed metal zip and button at the waistband.
A wonderfully versatile piece of original vintage clothing – beautifully minimal worn with a fine knit or silk blouse, but equally good styled with boots and a jacket for a more contemporary look.
