A spectacular original 1970s black maxi dress by Siskou Woman, made in Portugal.
This is an exceptionally dramatic piece of vintage fashion, combining the romantic prairie and Victorian-revival influences of the 1970s with an entirely black colour palette.
The dress features a high frilled neckline and an elaborate layered ruffle bib framing three pearl-effect buttons to the front. Long full sleeves are decorated with rows of matching ruffles before gathering into the cuffs.
The long flowing skirt finishes with an exceptionally deep gathered flounce, creating wonderful movement and a beautifully dramatic silhouette.
Made from a 50% cotton and 50% polyester blend, the dress has enough structure to showcase all of that fabulous ruffling while retaining a soft, flowing shape.
