Vintage 1980s 90s Waves Black Velvet Dungarees UK 10 – Cotton Overalls Made in England
A fabulous pair of vintage black velvet dungarees by Waves, made in England from 100% cotton. A scarce British-made vintage piece by the little-documented Waves label.
These have a classic fitted bib-and-brace design with adjustable shoulder straps and traditional silver-tone dungaree fastenings. The long, straight-cut legs create a flattering silhouette, while rows of buttons at each side add a distinctive detail and make them easier to slip on and off.
The reverse features a deep V-shaped back, shaped velvet panels and two large patch pockets. The soft black cotton velvet gives these dungarees a slightly dressier feel while retaining the relaxed, alternative look associated with late-1980s and 1990s fashion.
A brilliant piece for grunge, goth, indie or alternative styling.

How to Wear:
Layer over a fitted roll neck or striped long-sleeved top with chunky boots for an easy 1990s grunge look. They could also be styled with a lace blouse and platform shoes for a more romantic gothic outfit.
Condition:
Good vintage condition overall. There are some visible marks and areas of wear to the velvet on one leg, as shown in the photographs. The fastenings and buttons remain intact, and the dungarees are fully wearable. The condition has been reflected in the price.
