A fabulous original 1980s Salisbury’s cream handbag with an unusual built-in organiser compartment and elegant gold-tone horse bit detail to the front.
This is such a wonderfully practical piece of 1980s handbag design. The structured top-handle silhouette opens to reveal a remarkably comprehensive organiser beneath the front flap, including card slots, a clear photograph or ID window, slip compartments and a zipped section.
The main handbag has further zipped compartments and includes a small matching zipped purse. Finished with softly padded double handles and gold-tone equestrian snaffle hardware, the bag has a wonderfully classic country/preppy aesthetic.

Condition
Good vintage condition with age-related wear.
There is scattered spotting and discolouration to the cream exterior, together with some darker marking, particularly around one side of the bag. There is also some age-related wear and tarnishing/discolouration to the hardware and minor marking internally.
The bag nevertheless presents very well for its age and appears structurally sound, with the handles, stitching, compartments and organiser features intact.
