Vintage Gold Tone Dragon Coil Bracelet – Multicolour Crystal Serpent Wrap Bangle – Statement Costume Jewellery
An extraordinary vintage statement bracelet formed as a richly decorated Chinese-style dragon coiling approximately three times around the wrist.
The substantial gold-tone body is heavily textured with overlapping scales and decorated throughout with large faceted stones in vivid jewel tones, including ruby red, emerald green, teal blue, amethyst purple and smoky champagne. Each articulated section is shaped to continue the dragon’s scaly body, creating a remarkably lavish, sculptural appearance.
The dragon’s head is especially impressive, with a large faceted champagne-coloured stone to the crown, darker stones to either side and a scattering of tiny multicoloured rhinestones around the face. Its mouth, nostrils and horns are picked out in raised metalwork, while the opposite end tapers into a detailed curling tail.
The bracelet has a flexible expandable coil construction, allowing it to be wrapped around the wrist without a conventional clasp. Its maximalist design is characteristic of late 20th-century costume jewellery, likely dating from approximately the 1980s–1990s. It is unsigned

Condition:
Very good vintage condition overall with age-related rubbing, surface marks and darkening to the antiqued gold-tone finish. The principal faceted stones appear present, with some light scratches and small internal marks visible upon close inspection. There may be minor losses or darkening among the tiny accent rhinestones around the dragon’s head. The articulated coil remains flexible and wearable.
