Vintage Hand-Painted Porcelain Daffodil Clip-On Earrings – 1940s Floral Ceramic Jewellery

Description

A charming pair of vintage porcelain clip-on earrings, each modelled as a dimensional daffodil or narcissus flower.

The earrings feature creamy white petals with warm yellow and orange centres, surrounded by textured green leaves. Each flower has been individually formed and hand painted, giving the pair the slight variations associated with handmade ceramic jewellery.

Dating approximately from the 1940s to 1950s, these unusual earrings are fitted with round brass-tone clip fastenings and would make a lovely addition to a collection of vintage floral or novelty jewellery.

Condition

Good vintage condition with age-related wear.

There is visible surface discolouration and darkening to the flower petals and leaves, together with wear and patination to the metal clip fittings. Some of this may improve with careful cleaning, although we have left the earrings as found to avoid damaging the delicate painted finish.

The porcelain flowers appear intact in the photographs, with no obvious major losses, but please study all images carefully as they form part of the description.
