Printed with the iconic Henderson's Liverpool logo across the lid, this substantial retail box would originally have been used to present clothing or accessories purchased from one of Liverpool's best-loved department stores. The original paper stock label remains attached to the lid, together with handwritten department information, while the box still retains its original white tissue paper tied with string.
Pieces of department store packaging such as this are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly examples that have survived with their original contents wrapping. It makes a wonderful display piece for collectors of British retail history, fashion ephemera, visual merchandising or vintage shop interiors.

Condition
Good vintage condition with honest signs of age and use.
There is general wear to the exterior including scuffs, light creasing, age toning and marks from storage. The lid has a split to one edge and there are small losses and corner wear consistent with age. The original paper stock label remains attached but is worn and partially illegible. The original white tissue paper is still present and adds greatly to the authenticity of the piece.
