Vintage MODA Malta Copper Brooch – Handmade Modernist Bird & Foliate Design – Signed Maltese Artisan Jewellery

Description:
A striking handmade copper brooch by MODA of Malta, featuring a wonderfully stylised design of birds, leaves and flowing organic forms. Raised metalwork stands against the warm copper-coloured background, while the naturally developed green patina beautifully highlights the intricate pattern.

The reverse is stamped “MODA HAND MADE IN MALTA” and fitted with a traditional brooch pin. Comparable signed MODA copper jewellery is generally catalogued as Maltese modernist work from the 1960s–1970s. See comparable MODA Malta brooches and this catalogued 1960s example.
