An original Waldybag retail presentation box dating from the late 1950s to early 1960s, complete with its original tissue paper and factory identification label.

This lovely piece of British fashion history would have originally housed a Waldybag handbag before sale. It features the original bronze-gold finish, branded side label and period tissue paper, making it an increasingly scarce survivor. A wonderful addition for collectors of vintage handbags, fashion ephemera or retail display items.

Adding to its authenticity, the box also retains handwritten pencil and biro notes made by the original owner or retailer, offering a fascinating glimpse into its working life and making each piece entirely unique.

Condition

Good vintage condition.

The box shows age-related wear including scuffs, creasing, small knocks to the corners and light storage marks throughout. There is period handwriting to the lid and sides, together with minor old tape residue and surface wear consistent with decades of use where it has been used for storage of other items . The original tissue paper is still present and the box remains structurally sound.
